It is (not) impossible to give any reliable estimate of refugees who have crossed the border during the last few days, but I should put the number now in new territory, including those at Pat Heung Aerodrome, between 30,000 and 40,000.
Government is housing and feeding some 10,000 to 12,008, majority of the remainder are obtaining meals from food kitchens
a considerable minority are being and are camping in the open :
housed in villages.
Hong Kong is being kept relatively free.
